You squeeze them on the shelf, they feel soft, you grab four packs because the price per pair looks good. Then the washing machine happens. They go stiff. They lose their shape. And the bargain becomes the pile at the bottom of the drawer nobody touches.

A lot of the $35 designer pairs are mostly polyester with a logo on the waistband. You're paying for the name, not for the material sitting against his skin — and you still end up replacing them.
